Our association amec amtex

amec amtex (Spanish Textile Machinery Manufacturers Association) is a professional non-profit organisation that groups together the Spanish Manufacturers of Textile and Garment-making machinery, recognised on a national and international scale as the most representative Association of this industry in Spain. amec amtex is a full member of CEMATEX (European Committee of Textile Machinery Constructors) and actively participates in all its activities, specially in the organisation of ITMA show. amec amtex belongs to amec, the Multisectorial Employer’s Association that groups other Spanish Industries manufacturing consumer and industrial products, and which has more than 350 member companies. amec amtex is constantly on international markets through its presence at tradeshows and other promotional activities, providing an answer to the technical and commercial demands in more than 70 countries. amec amtex is made up of an e†cient professional team capable of providing you with advice and recommenda

 

What we do?

  • Develop internationalization to enable companies to do business in the global market. ​
  • Promote the presence of companies in overseas markets through activities and services adapted to the needs of the sector.
  • Boost representativeness and sectoral lobbyingwith presence in the main forums of the sector and participating in decision-making.
  • Generate networking between companies and agents of the sector.
  • Promote innovation,, by collaborating with the main technological centres of the sector.
  • Promote the internal market by developing strategic agreements and collaborations with national agents.
  • Provide training to companies of the sector, in line with their needs, helping them to improve their competitiveness in various fields.
  • Manage communication and image of the brand of the Spanish sector of Textile and Apparel Technology and Machinery, at national and international level.
  • Annual design and management of the Export Promotion Plan of the sector with the recognition of ICEX (Spanish Export and Investments).

 

How it’s done?

  • We are present at the main international Trade Fairs of the sector: ITMA (Europe) and ITMA ASIACITME (China)
  • We form part the Organization of these fairs, in collaboration with other European associations that are part of the CEMATEX.
  • We hold the secretariat of the Normalizació Technical Committee of AENOR for Textile Machinery CTN 40/SC9.
  • We collaborate with both the main national and international technical magazines .
  • We form part of the European Association of Textile Machinery Manufacturers – CEMATEX.
  • We are members of the AEQCT, Asociación Española de Químicos y Coloristas Textiles.
  • We closely collaborate with Universities and technology centres: LEITAT, Intexter, UPC Planta Hilatura and Eurecat.
